Warm light with
cool blue highlights.
Despite the pastel, rather cool blue tones of Agate Blue, the light emanating from the backlit natural stone wall has a warm touch. This makes the stone wall the ideal light source for rooms with a homely ambience. The individual facets of the color spectrum, from warm yellow-orange, to bright white and pastel blue, are picked up in the room design. This is reflected in the choice of other stones on the floor and in the kitchen, in decorative elements such as the sofa cushions or the wall unit in warm wood tones. Thus, the backlit wall functions as a connecting element in the middle of the open space.

An exciting aspect of this project is certainly the sophisticated interplay of different light sources in a small space. In the image detail shown here alone, we see four light sources, from the backlit stone wall, to ceiling lights in the entrance area and pendant lights in the kitchen and dining area, to indirect floor spots in the hallway. The artistic staging of light is a very character-defining design element of any room and the backlit natural stone wall is a very special highlight in this context.
